瘦!咖啡真能瘦身?防彈咖啡又是啥?

 


先講結論!真要瘦還是乖乖 #持續運動 跟 #健康飲食 吧!其他都是不無小補罷了。

不過的確咖啡內的 #咖啡因 是能直接影響 #棕脂肪。(Velickovic et al., 2019) 而棕脂肪的主要功能便是燃燒熱量,如:燃燒脂肪與醣分來產生熱能。(ps. 脂肪分兩種。另一種脂肪便是白脂肪,主要功能是儲存)在人體實驗部分,他們發現到,如果人體攝取一定量的咖啡因,脖子上的棕脂肪會明顯變熱,也是燃燒熱量的一種表現。

但目前該實驗依然需要進一步考證,說到真的要靠喝咖啡減肥顯然還有一段距離。而且去咖啡廳喝個咖啡所獲得的熱量是棕脂肪燃燒熱量的上千倍。故科科只好在這重申一次哀傷的結論──乖乖運動吧!

Wow! Drinking coffee could prevent Type II diabetes?



Ok! Conclusion first! The answer is “yes.”
#coffee is working for decreasing the risk of #diabetes.

There are some advantages proved in long-term coffee consumption. (Ranheim and Halvorsen, 2005)
1. Decreasing small dense LDL (a kind of bad cholesterol
2. Decreasing G6P (related to blood sugar
3. Increasing insulin sensitivity
4. Increasing fat oxidation
5. Increasing mobilization of glycogen
6. Increasing lipolysis
7. Decreasing body fat
So technically, consuming coffee could help to lose your weight as well. Additionally, it could reduce the risk of coronary artery disease.
Furthermore, you drink more, it works better! Who consume >6 cups of coffee per day have the lowest risk of diabetes compared to other people. (Salazar-Martinez, 2004)
The scientists also indicated that decaf coffee and tea are as good as normal coffee as well. (Dam, 2006)

BUT! Please, pay attention! These researches were based on black coffee or espresso without any sugar or milk, which might ironically increase the risk. Moreover, what kind of substance makes coffee work on preventing diabetes is unknown, so please drinking coffee directly, instead of taking extract of coffee or caffeine. (Huxley, 2009)
If you are an Asian, you might consider your gene is not suitable for too much coffee as well. It might cause palpitations. Last but not least, considering coffee is -10 for risk of diabetes, but eating too much and bad lifestyle could be +1000 for risk of diabetes. In conclusion, a #GoodLifestyle and adequate/balanced diet is the most important way to keep healthy.

Sunny! It is time to put some coffee on my face as sunscreen?!


Sometimes you might notice your coffee beans become oily. Oily coffee bean doesn’t definitely mean whether good or bad. It is just a chemical reaction within. After roasting coffee beans, the beans would crack up, emission carbon dioxide #CO2 and do some oxidized reaction. As a result, the oil of coffee bean comes onto the surface.

However, coffee bean oil is not just some sort of ordinary oil. It can be #sunscreen!

In 1988, a mega French cosmetic company, L'Oréal, (yes, that L'Oréal) had applied the patent about how to make sunscreen by coffee in the U.S.* (off patent now)
They discovered coffee bean oil extracted from coffee ground could filter the sunlight selectively in the wavelength range from 280 to 320 nm, a.k.a. #UVB. Therefore, putting it on the skin could avoid tanning and burning while sunbathing. Additionally, it is natural, not irritating and hard to be washed away by sea and sweat. The ingredient is also merely coffee ground!

Consequently, they made a big fortune…

The story is not finished yet. Seeker’s gonna do seek. The scientists would not stop here and never be satisfied!
